This role is ideal for a civil engineer with experience in subdivision and residential development projects who is eager to grow technically while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.You'll work alongside senior staff and licensed engineers on residential projects throughout the Midwest, supporting all phases of development from feasibility and planning through final design and construction documentation.Key Responsibilities Assist senior staff and licensed engineers with the design and preparation of residential site development projectsPrepare and review engineering calculations, technical drawings, and construction documentsDevelop feasibility studies, due diligence reports, zoning studies, and early project planning materialsPerform stormwater modeling, grading, and drainage design for residential developmentsPrepare cost estimates and detailed site design plansCoordinate with internal MSG teams including Surveying, Geotechnical, Structural, Traffic, Transportation, and Construction ServicesParticipate in field visits and site observations as needed (coordinated in advance)Support project delivery from concept through construction documentationComplete additional tasks as assigned by senior staff and project leadershipSkills, Knowledge and Expertise Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering5-8 years of experience specializing in residential or site development projectsProficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3DEIT certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months) with a clear path toward PE licensureStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multidisciplinary environmentMotivated, flexible, and adaptable as project needs evolveBenefits 401(k) w/ company matchHealth insurance w/ HSA option, Vision, Dental, LifeFlexible schedulePaid time offReferral programTuition reimbursementCatalytic Coaching - Employees draft a development plan aimed at improving contributions in their current job and increasing the potential for other opportunities.
