As an interdisciplinary team of architects, engineers, and community builders, we work hand in hand with our clients to realize enduring designs - to create space for what matters.We have an immediate opening for a Mid-Level Civil Engineer in our Buffalo office. This position offers the potential for a variety of work experiences with an architecture and engineering consulting firm. The candidate will have technical abilities and experience in the design of public works.Responsibilities And DutiesDesign work on complex, multi-discipline projects and studies as a Project EngineerAssisting in design work and delivering contract plans, specifications and bid estimates on-time and within budgetParticipating in and conducting meetingsEnsuring proper codes and standards are being used on projects and that all work is properly reviewed, checked and meets quality assurance/quality control requirementsPerforming site inspectionsQualificationsBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from a college or university with an ABET-accredited curriculumRegistered Professional Engineer in New York or New Jersey (a plus but not required)Minimum 0-6 years of experience in the design of civil-infrastructure projects involving highways & bridges, storm water and sanitary sewer collection systems; water distribution systems.Working knowledge of design codes and standards such as AASHTO, AISC, PCA and NYSDOTEffective verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a teamProficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office softwareCompensationBetween $70,000 - $85,000 depending on experienceAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other legally protected status#J-18808-Ljbffr
