Civil Engineer

We are hiring on behalf of our client for a Civil Engineer to support the design, planning, and execution of energy infrastructure projects. This role works closely with senior engineering staff and contributes to projects involving oil, gas, LNG, CNG, RNG, propane, and related energy systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare site plans, grading plans, and engineering designs, including stormwater, structural, and foundation calculations
• Develop schematics, layouts, technical reports, and procedures for energy infrastructure projects
• Analyze maps, drawings, test data, and aerial imagery to support project planning and design
• Utilize engineering software and tools for calculations, analysis, and reporting
• Support equipment sizing, cost estimating, scheduling, and economic evaluations
• Assist with proposal development and client deliverables
• Attend client meetings as needed, including occasional evening meetings
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards and procedures
• Collaborate with project teams and assist drafters and technicians as needed
• Represent the company at recruiting and business development events
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Work Environment

• Combination of office, hybrid, and field-based work
• Field work may involve outdoor environments and active construction sites
• Occasional overtime, weekend work, and travel may be required (up to 90%)
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 0–3 years of relevant engineering experience
• Understanding of civil engineering principles and practices
• Familiarity with Civil 3D and structural design preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage priorities in deadline-driven environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• EIT/EI certification preferred but not required
