Civil Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our client's team in Conshohocken, PA. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to civil engineering design projects while working closely with internal teams, management, clients, and design professionals.

Position Overview

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for performing civil engineering design and calculations, supporting the development of contract drawings, and collaborating with civil designers and project teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective communication with department members, higher management, and clients.
• Perform engineering calculations, including hand calculations, spreadsheet-based calculations, Mathcad calculations, and 3D modeling.
• Assist in the creation of contract drawings by providing engineering input and direction to civil designers.
• Support civil engineering design and analysis activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Apply engineering principles and standards to develop practical and effective design solutions.
• Assist with permitting activities and permit processes as required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to coordinate design requirements and project deliverables.
• Review engineering work and design documentation for accuracy, quality, and compliance with applicable standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in civil engineering design.
• Advanced working proficiency in Civil 3D.
• Working knowledge of Hydraflow, PondPack, WaterCAD, StormCAD, or similar civil engineering software is preferred.
• Exposure to permitting and permit processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
