Civil Engineering Intern

Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for a limited-term, full-time civil engineering intern to work on airport design projects (taxiways, aprons, runways, etc.) based in our Dallas, TX office starting in May/June 2027 and ending in August 2027. \n \nThe intern will be responsible for assisting engineers, design technicians, and surveyors with civil engineering projects in the following areas:\n\n Airfield and municipal civil engineering projects\n Performing design calculations, quantities, and cost estimates\n Assisting with project report preparation\n Technical research and writing\n May assist with field inspection, documentation, and survey work\n Other tasks as assigned\n \nA valid driver's license, the ability to pass a background check to gain access to airport sites, and occasional travel will be required.\n \nSuccessful candidates must have completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in civil engineering from an accredited college or university by the date of hire.\n \nThe ideal candidate will have experience with any/all the following: \n\n Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Civil3D software\n Construction Field experience including observation and documentation\n Basic grading and drainage concepts\n Knowledge of airport planning and/or design\n* Civil/survey engineering coursework relevant to the position\n \nIf you have strong communication and organizational skills, are self-motivated, and can work well both independently and as part of a team, complete the online application process for this job posting at www.meadhunt.com/careers. \n \nMead & Hunt will not sponsor a visa (H-1B, etc.) for this position. \n \nEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable pre-employment screening requirements.\n \nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability.\n \n#LI-LB1\n\n
