Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (Civil Engineering) with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to lead complex land development projects throughout Southern California. This individual will oversee project delivery, mentor junior staff, manage client relationships, and play a key role in strategic growth initiatives.
This position offers a potential fast-track into senior leadership for someone who combines strong technical expertise with business development capabilities and team leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage land development projects from entitlement through construction.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, staffing, and client deliverables.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including planning, architecture, landscape architecture, and engineering.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, and consultants.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and project teams.
- Participate in business development efforts, client presentations, and proposal preparation.
- Provide technical oversight for grading, drainage, utility, and site development design.
- Support strategic growth initiatives within the Irvine office and broader Southern California market.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Active California PE license required.
- 8+ years of experience in civil engineering and land development project management.
- Strong background in commercial, mixed-use, multifamily, retail, healthcare, or institutional developments preferred.
- Proven experience managing project financials, schedules, and client relationships.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team development skills.
