Position responsibilities will incrementally increase over time and with experience.LocationAustin, TexasEmployment Type40 FT HoursCompensation TypeSalaryRegistration(s)Registered Engineer-In-Training, or working towards an EITEducationBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)DutiesProduce design and construction drawings using information from supervisor, research data, and input from consultants.Produce design plans for private development projects and clients.Design and drafting of site development projects and offsite improvements; potential for work in other practice areas (public works, transportation) as workload dictates; site work includes grading, drainage, LID.Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare plan and profile construction drawings.Assist project manager with design plans, specifications, construction support, cost estimating.Research materials and assemblies for design and construction drawings as directed by supervisor.Conduct site visits and assist with documenting findings.Attend, record, and distribute meeting minutes, and assist with general project correspondence.Compose and prepare graphic materials for presentations and documents.Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic studies, drainage analysis and design, FEMA permitting, and construction documents for a wide range of water resources projects for both public and private clients.Analysis and design will include use of HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, GIS, XPSWMM, Civil 3D and various drainage tools.
