With over 600 talented employees located across 30 offices nationwide, H&H can efficiently and effectively handle assignments of all sizes, types, and delivery methods around the country and across the globe.Responsibilities Collaborate with engineers and the design team to advance and complete a variety of project types, including roadway, bridge, and drainageWith limited supervision, produce 2D and 3D models and drafting of civil transportation plans using the latest version of either Microstation or AutoCAD drafting software in accordance with company and client standardsDevelop highway and roadway infrastructure projects with plans, profiles, superelevation transitions, and cross sectionsProduce conceptual and final construction design plans for utilities, grading, and stormwaterUse 3D modeling for roadways, drainage, and grading designsCoordinate with complimentary disciplines at a project level which may include members of the structural, electrical, mechanical, and architectural teamProduce models for calculating construction quantity takeoffs and creating spreadsheets that summarize estimated quantitiesAssist junior engineers and professionals.Opportunity to develop and mentor civil team of designersRequirementsFive+ years of experience as a civil designer or CADD operatorAssociate or Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)High school graduate, technical degree in BIM/CAD software (preferred)Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads / GeoPAK, and OpenRoads DesignerExperience in various infrastructure project types: Drainage, Roadway, UtilitiesExperience developing and supporting engineering drawingsExperience with file conversion and file management between multiple digital environmentsFamiliar with or able to become familiar with the following guidelines/standards: AASHTO Highway Design Guide, NYSDOT Highway Design Manual, NYSDOT Bridge Design Manual, MUTCD, NYCDOT standards, NYCDEP standards and other related standardsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and prioritize tasks in a logical orderStrong verbal communication and time management skillsSalary range — $65,000-$75,000 annually.
