Trillium Construction is now seeking a Project Engineer – Civil Infrastructure Project inNewark, NJ (Newark International Airport Project Site)!Salary Range: $125,000 – $175,000 depending on experience.Eligibility: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.We are a leading civil, building, and specialty construction organization delivering complex infrastructure projects across the United States. With more than a century of experience, our teams execute large-scale projects that require technical expertise, collaboration, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.The Project Engineer will support project leadership in managing the technical, contractual, and operational aspects of a major infrastructure project. This role will assist with project planning, documentation, cost tracking, procurement, and coordination with field teams to ensure successful project execution from buyout through project closeout.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Administration-Assist with monthly billings, cost reports, and cash flow projections.-Support the processing and management of change orders.-Assist with project document control and contract administration.Engineering & Technical Review-Review shop drawings, mock-ups, and project specifications.-Verify that completed work complies with project drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.-Perform material quantity takeoffs from contract documents.Procurement & Materials Management-Identify critical work items and procure long-lead materials.-Assist with preparing purchase orders and subcontracts.-Coordinate and schedule material deliveries to support project schedules.Field & Construction Support-Provide field engineering support and assist in supervising subcontractor operations.-Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain documentation of non-compliance issues in coordination with QA/QC teams.-Assist in the preparation of work plans and construction sequencing.Scheduling & Coordination-Assist with developing and updating project schedules.-Support coordination between project management, engineering teams, and field operations.Safety & Compliance-Support project safety and environmental compliance efforts.-Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and project safety policies.Apply now!Qualifications-Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field from an accredited institution.-10+ years of relevant construction experience.-Experience working on large-scale construction projects valued at $100M or more.-Experience preparing project cost reports and financial tracking documentation.-Knowledge of construction contracts, claims processes, and project documentation.-Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).-Familiarity with industry software such as Procore and Primavera P6.-Strong written and verbal communication skills.Trillium has been recruiting and placing professionals for over 30 years.
