Civil Litigation Associate Attorney (3-5 Years Experience)

We are a growing Chicago-area litigation firm seeking a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. If you enjoy handling complex disputes, taking ownership of your cases, and developing your courtroom skills, we'd like to hear from you.

Our practice is built around litigation. We represent businesses and individuals in a wide variety of civil disputes, and we're looking for an attorney who is comfortable managing cases while continuing to grow as a litigator. You'll work alongside experienced attorneys on challenging matters while receiving the mentorship and support needed to advance your career. Our practice includes commercial litigation, business disputes, breach of contract claims, real estate litigation, construction disputes, partnership and shareholder disputes, and other complex civil matters.

What You'll Do

• Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution
• Handle commercial, business, contract, real estate, and construction disputes
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda
• Conduct depositions and participate in settlement negotiations and mediations
• Appear regularly in state and federal court for hearings, motion practice, and trials
• Collaborate with attorneys on litigation strategy and trial preparation
• Build strong relationships with clients through proactive communication and exceptional service

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of civil litigation experience
• Experience handling commercial, business, contract, real estate, or construction litigation
• Illinois Bar admission in good standing
• Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple active matters
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and excellent organizational skills
• A collaborative mindset and a desire to continue developing as a trial attorney
