Litigation Associate Attorney

Location: Roseville or Irvine, CA (Hybrid)

Compensation: $130,000 – $190,000 per year (depending on experience) + Bonus

About the Opportunity

A fast-growing, highly respected civil litigation and business law firm with a multi-state regional presence is hiring a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney in either Roseville or Irvine, CA. This role provides an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to gain direct client exposure, hands-on litigation experience, strong partner mentorship, and a clear path toward long-term career advancement in a supportive, team-oriented firm environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a civil litigation caseload independently while working in close coordination with partners and team members.

• Handle complex litigation cases, specializing in construction defects, real estate disputes, business litigation, and builder/developer representation.

• Draft substantive law and motion filings, legal briefs, pleadings, and discovery requests/responses.

• Conduct and defend depositions involving key witnesses, expert witnesses, and primary parties.

• Represent clients in court appearances, oral arguments, hearings, and dispute mediations.

• Cultivate direct client relationships and build independent legal analysis skills.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active license in good standing with the State Bar of California (required).

• Demonstrated experience with discovery management, motion practice, and taking/defending depositions.

• Background in construction defect, real estate litigation, or commercial business litigation is strongly preferred.

• Top-tier legal writing, critical thinking, and research skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Compensation & Benefits Package

• $130,000 to $190,000 base salary, commensurate with experience.

• Bonus available for billable hours achieved above the standard target (Target: 1,800 billable hours per year / ~150 hours per month).

• Additional discretionary bonus opportunities based on firm and individual performance.
