Civil Litigation Attorney- Kansas City

CMDA is seeking a highly-motivated civil litigation associate with 6+ years of active civil litigation experience to assist with a fast-paced trial docket and to help grow our Kansas City, Missouri office.

Qualified candidates must be licensed in Missouri and Kansas and have experience with:

• Independently handling an active caseload with little to no supervision
• Taking and defending depositions (parties, experts, etc.)
• Preparing complex pleadings and motions, including petitions, answers, motions for summary judgment, discovery-related motions, etc.
• Drafting and arguing motions before a trial court

Qualified candidates must have excellent research and writing skills and strong communication and organization skills. Candidates should have high energy, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to take on new projects and learn new skills quickly.

Attorneys joining CMDA will have opportunities to work on a variety of cases and projects, as well as participate in and handle jury/bench trials in state and federal courts, depositions, motion and discovery practice, appellate practice, and be responsible for regular client communications.
