Overview The Water Resources Professional Engineer is responsible for planning, modeling, permitting, and designing water resource projects. This role manages projects from initiation through completion, ensures compliance with applicable regulations, and coordinates with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver effective solutions. We have 14 offices located throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.Responsibilities Lead the planning, design, and execution of water resource projects including stormwater systems, drainage, and flood controlPerform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and prepare technical reports, design documents, and permit applicationsManage regulatory compliance and permitting processes at federal, state, and local levelsReview project details to identify and proactively manage risksEvaluate site conditions and design systems to perform under environmental and operational demandsDevelop and maintain relationships with clients, municipal authorities, contractors, and vendorsManage project budgets, schedules, and resources to meet established goalsContribute to the preparation of proposals, scopes, and fees in collaboration with team membersReview work prepared by engineering staff and provide direction as neededQualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) registration in TexasMinimum of 2 years of experience in water resources engineeringKnowledge of civil engineering practices and principles with awareness of current industry trendsStrong understanding of engineering project management methods including time, cost, and resource planningKnowledge of environmental regulations and workplace safety standardEffective communication skills with the ability to interact across all organizational levelsExperience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS preferredBenefits and Perks We offer a comprehensive benefits program that supports the whole person.
