Job TitleCivil Construction Project ManagerJob DescriptionPlan, coordinate, and oversee civil construction projects from inception to completion. Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and procurement activities. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth project execution. Monitor construction progress and resolve technical, operational, and site-related issues. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and local building codes. Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to maintain construction standards. Prepare project reports, cost estimates, work plans, and progress updates for stakeholders. Manage risk assessment and implement solutions to mitigate project delays and cost overruns. Support contract administration, change orders, and project closeout activities.The Successful ApplicantBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline. Proven experience managing civil construction projects, including earthworks, roads, bridges, utilities, or infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of construction methods, engineering principles, and industry best practices. Ability to interpret and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Experience with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control. Knowledge of relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations. Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving technical and operational challenges. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and clients throughout the project lifecycle. Proficiency in project management and engineering software such as MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, or similar tools. Ability to monitor project progress, prepare reports, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality construction outcomes.
