DescriptionWestwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Land Development team. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.RequirementsExecutes land development civil engineering projects efficiently (meets schedules and budgets)Supports land development civil teams to produce civil plan sets.Effectively manages internal support teams (survey, traffic, hydrology and hydraulics, etc.) – able to communicate/manage technical details as well as schedules and budgets.Implements QA/QC program and ensures compliance within project team.Works with City/County staff for approval of project plans.Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and allocate resources through differing project stages.Administers the construction services portions of projects including RFI response, site meetings with contractors, etc.Effectively leads up to five (5) assigned technical personnel including:Assigns and oversees project assignments;Reviews work for accuracy and completeness;Trains staff in civil engineering design and CAD/Civil3D;Recommends compensation adjustments and/or promotions.CompensationThe compensation for this position is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualification. Additionally, this is bonus-eligible position, offering further potential for financial recognition based on performance and company success.Required Skills and AbilitiesDemonstrates competence in fundamental civil engineering design principles for land development projects.Experienced in cost estimating, bid phase assistance construction administration, and general construction methods.Demonstrates proficiency with current computer aided design (CAD/Civil 3D) and production software and ability to learn new versions or new technology.Ability to read, analyze and interpretAbility to write effective reports and correspondenceConstruction document and 3D production abilityPossesses a firm understanding of engineering design for all aspects of site development along with current knowledge of industry trends, technology, codes and regulationsEmbraces teamwork approach and possesses strong communication skillsMust possess strong technical skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD and other discipline specific softwareEducation and ExperienceMinimum of four (4) years of experience in Land Development Engineering design.Licensed Professional Engineer in Arizona (or eligible for licensure in 6-12 months).Graduate from an accredited university or college with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Experience or degrees in other disciplines may be substituted at Management's discretion).Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
