Civil Project Manager - Data Center Construction

We are working confidentially with a General Contractor delivering a major data center project in the Mobile, Alabama area and are looking to appoint an experienced Civil Project Manager to join the project team.

Recent data center construction experience is essential, along with a strong background managing civil packages for a General Contractor or Construction Manager.

The Role

The Civil Project Manager will take ownership of the civil and sitework scope across the project, working closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, engineers and the wider project leadership team.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing civil and sitework packages from preconstruction through completion
  

• Overseeing earthwork, excavation, grading and site preparation
  

• Managing underground utilities, stormwater and drainage systems
  

• Coordinating roads, paving, concrete and external works
  

• Managing civil subcontractors and trade partners
  

• Reviewing drawings, specifications, RFIs and submittals
  

• Managing change orders, procurement and project documentation
  

• Tracking schedules, budgets and package-level progress
  

• Coordinating civil works with structural, MEP and building teams
  

• Identifying sequencing and constructability issues and driving solutions
  

• Supporting quality control, safety and project closeout
  

• Working closely with Project Executives, Superintendents and engineering teams
  

What We’re Looking For

• Recent data center or mission critical construction experience is essential
  

• Strong General Contractor or Construction Manager background
  

• Experience managing civil packages on large-scale ground-up construction projects
  

• Strong knowledge of earthwork, excavation, grading and site development
  

• Experience with underground utilities, stormwater and drainage
  

• Experience managing civil subcontractors, RFIs, submittals and change orders
  

• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and coordination
  

• Strong scheduling, budgeting and project management skills
  

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  

• Ability to work full-time on site in the Mobile, Alabama area
