Typical university hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.FLSA Status: ExemptDepartment: Institutional IntegrityWork Location: Cato Hall, Suite 132Salary Range: $58,656 - $60,000Primary Purpose of DepartmentThe Office of Civil Rights and Title IX is dedicated to promoting a safe and healthy campus environment through compliance with Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, and the Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act (Campus SaVE). The office coordinates the university's response to complaints of discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct and oversees current policies and practices supporting this objective.Primary Purpose of PositionReporting to the Associate Director, the Case Manager serves as a liaison between the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX and stakeholders such as students, employees, HR, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Police and Public Safety, and the public. Responsibilities include intake, management, and assignment of reports; coordination of support measures; recordkeeping; independent, confidential work; training and outreach development; and occasional after-hours work.Summary of Position ResponsibilitiesReview assigned reports and make immediate contact per SOP.Coordinate outreach and ongoing communication with all parties.Meet with parties to discuss processes, rights, support measures, accommodations, referrals, evidence preservation, and resources.Determine interim measures and accommodations with the Director/Associate Director.Communicate in compliance with FERPA and privacy laws.Collaborate with Student Health Center, CAPS, the Center for Integrated Care, Office of Disability Services, etc. for student cases.Collaborate with Academic Affairs, HR, supervisors for employee cases.Follow up with parties after resolution for continued support.Collect and analyze data on intake and accommodations; identify trends and develop communication strategies.Provide knowledge of university policies, procedures, and protocols.Participate in community needs assessment and program design.Provide training and education to the community on civil rights, Title IX, and Campus SaVE.Minimum Education/ExperienceBachelor's degree in counseling, social work, or related area and 4 years of related professional experience, OR a master's degree and 2 years of experience.Experience managing/assisting individuals in crisis.Experience with programming and education/training initiatives.Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceNot specified.Special Notes to ApplicantsApplicants may submit additional documents with their application.UNC Charlotte Benefits Information: check or motor vehicle report required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
