Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Experience with:
Design of roads including sight distance analysis, roadside design, vehicular use areas, parking lot design, pedestrian and vehicular ingress/egress ways.
Stormwater management design, hydrology, and modeling of retention/detention facilities, culverts, storm drain systems, and open channels.
Knowledge of FEMA floodplains and regulations (a plus).
Applicability of MUTCD including maintenance of traffic and underground utility markings and protection of utilities.
Preparation, permitting, and construction implementation of civil/site construction plans including NPDES permitting, sediment and erosion control design and inspections.
Municipal zoning and variance hearings.
Conduct unbiased investigations for various types of clients.
Responsible for retention and development of client relations.
Prepare oral and written reports in laymans terms that document causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended remediation.
Deliver professional presentations, develop client relationships and promote self to client groups.
Ability to support conclusions by appropriate expert testimony in legal proceedings.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
