Civil Sitework Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of civil sitework construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. Description

• Assist Project Managers in overseeing civil sitework projects from award through completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure project schedules are maintained.
• Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking activities.
• Review and process submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential schedule or cost impacts.
• Participate in client, subcontractor, and internal project meetings.
• Track quantities, production rates, and project performance metrics.
• Assist with procurement of materials and equipment.
• Coordinate closely with field operations teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Help prepare project reports, forecasts, and status updates for leadership.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, contract requirements, and company standards.
• Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, final documentation, and invoicing.

Profile

A successful Civil Sitework Assistant Project Manager should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 1-5 years of experience in civil construction, site development, heavy highway, utility, or related construction projects.
• Strong understanding of civil sitework operations including earthwork, grading, drainage, underground utilities, and paving.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management software is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and eager to build a long-term career in construction project management.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to visit project sites as needed.
