Civil - Staff Engineering Technician - Water

Location: Must be located within 50 miles of one of the following offices (please include candidate location in candidate summary):

  • Charlotte, NC
  • Orlando, FL

Pay: $45.51/hour
Type: Contract to Possible Hire
Work Authorization:Green Card Required

Position Summary

COMPANY is seeking a Civil Staff Engineering Technician to support Water & Industrial Water infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for developing and modifying civil site development deliverables, including grading and drainage, erosion control, roadways, fencing, and underground utilities using Autodesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley MicroStation.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with Civil 3D grading
  • Autodesk Civil 3D experience
  • Diploma or Certificate required
  • Associate Degree in Drafting, Engineering Design Technology, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience
  • Must be located within 50 miles of Charlotte, NC or Orlando, FL
  • Green Card Required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Bentley MicroStation
  • Water, wastewater, or industrial water project experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and modify site development plans, drawings, and technical deliverables.
  • Create and maintain project documentation using Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
  • Perform design calculations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, and recordkeeping.
  • Review design inputs and deliverables for quality, accuracy, and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Coordinate with engineering and design teams to support project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other engineering professionals and technicians.
  • Assist with project schedules, work assignments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support field activities and stay current with evolving technologies and industry best practices.
