We play a critical role in safeguarding LCRA's transmission line infrastructure. Your work will directly strengthen grid reliability, optimize the performance and longevity of our transmission assets, and deliver a tangible, positive impact on the lives of the Texans we serve.
How You'll Contribute
- Perform clearance analysis of encroachments on the transmission system using computer-aided design (CAD) tools
- Perform forensic analysis of failed/damaged transmission line assets including foundations, poles, lattice structures, suspension hardware, and conductor
- Propose and justify solutions for failed/damaged assets which optimize grid reliability and public safety
- Explore new and innovative inspection tools for assessing asset condition
How You're Qualified
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
- Driver's license
How You'll Stand Out
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in forensic analysis of steel, wood, and concrete structures
- Experience in the design or maintenance of transmission line equipment
- Experience with 3D modeling programs
- Experience with relevant engineering codes
- Experience with relevant structural analysis programs
