Senior Civil/Structural Engineer – Petrochemical & Dynamic Foundations.      

Are you a senior technical expert capable of grounding massive, high-vibration industrial equipment?

We are seeking a highly autonomous Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to serve as the technical authority for our major industrial projects. In this role, you will independently apply advanced engineering techniques, make critical decisions on complex structural problems, and represent the organization in technical conferences. You will provide vital scientific advice, work directly with clients to develop scopes of work, and take ownership of the civil/structural budget for your assigned projects. If you have mastered mitigating cyclic stress, tuning frequencies, and engineering massive tabletop structures, we want your technical expertise on our team.

What You Will Do

• Execute Complex Designs: Independently prepare advanced design calculations, structural sketches, and material take-offs for civil elements, process structures, drainage systems, and specialized foundations.
• Master Dynamic Loading: Directly engineer the structural foundations supporting high-vibration equipment, including:
  • Rotary Equipment: Turbines, fans, blowers, and pumps.
  • Reciprocating Equipment: Centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, and heavy engines.
  • Skids & Modular Units: Skid-mounted equipment and modular structures.
• Specialized Infrastructure: Design complex tabletop structures for high-speed centrifugal compressors using both piled and shallow foundations.
• Transport Logistics: Perform critical fatigue analyses for modular structures to ensure safety and stability during ocean transport.
• Drive Project Delivery: Collaborate closely with designers to transform concepts into flawless construction drawings, lead drawing reviews, and drive client project meetings. Manage the designated structural assets and budgets assigned to your projects.
• Represent the Organization: Act as our technical representative at conferences, resolving critical engineering challenges and negotiating technical methods directly with clients and external engineering officials.

What You Bring

• Experience:
  • A minimum of 10+ years of structural design experience, with at least 10 years dedicated to the Petrochemical Industry.
  • At least 5 years of direct experience designing dynamically loaded industrial equipment foundations, process structures, and process structure foundations.
• Technical Guidance: Proven capability to provide reliable technical guidance, mentorship, and scientific interpretations to designers and less experienced engineers on your projects.
• Education: Undergraduate degree in Engineering.
• Technical Software (Preferred): Experience using STAAD.Pro and MAT3D to perform advanced dynamic analysis is highly valued, though not strictly required.
