Position Overview Airswift is looking for a Civil/Structural Engineer to work in Mobile, Alabama for a major chemical client on an initial 1‑year contract. The engineer will be based in Mobile and must be able to work from home as well as in the office. Willingness to travel as needed for project support is required. The role is 40 hours per week (overtime may be required).Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a recognized accredited program (ABET) in Civil or Structural EngineeringMinimum 8 years of relevant work experienceProfessional Engineer (P. Eng.) preferredPrior experience as a Project Manager on single‑discipline projects preferredPrior experience as a CSA lead on major capital projects preferredAbility to supervise engineering staff on industrial projects of varying sizesAbility to assemble and review bid packages for civil/structural work scopesFamiliarity with applicable engineering codes (IBC, AISC, ASCE, ACI, etc.)Experience with civil/structural analysis software (Risa 3D & Risa Foundation preferred)Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft OfficeAbility to produce estimate‑level preliminary designs and material take‑offs suitable for the level of the estimate being performed on a projectExperience developing conceptual layouts and cost studies to identify the simplest, most efficient engineering approachCapability to independently apply knowledge and continuously develop the company's quality program for the CSA departmentEstablish related processes and promote a culture conducive to quality, providing guidance and support for continuous improvement and change management effortsAbility to perform field work to gather relevant project data and provide construction support as requiredKnowledge and experience to check calculations made by other engineers to ensure code and specification conformance and sound engineering practice#J-18808-Ljbffr
