Seeking a Mid to Senior Civil/Structural Engineer for a hybrid contract role in Mobile, AL. The position supports industrial design within an EPCM environment, requiring on-site and remote work, with travel to Greenville, SC, as needed. The role offers $60-$80/hour based on experience, with a 40-hour workweek and potential overtime.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- At least 8 years of relevant industrial design experience
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Experience as a Project Manager or CSA lead on capital projects
Responsibilities:
- Supervise engineering staff on various projects
- Assemble and review bid packages
- Develop preliminary designs, estimates, and material take-offs
- Create conceptual layouts and cost studies
- Perform fieldwork and provide construction support
- Review calculations for code compliance and quality
- Improve departmental quality programs and processes
Technical skills required:
- Knowledge of engineering codes (IBC, AISC, ASCE, ACI)
- Experience with RISA 3D, RISA Foundation, CAD, and Microsoft Office
