In this role as Structural Engineer, you will support the structural design for the project. This will entail originating structural calculations, specifications, material requisitions, and technical studies or reports. Additionally, checking of design drawings and review and coordination of vendor information. Work with other Structural engineers and technical disciplines in a team environment.Major Responsibilities:Designs structures using knowledge of structural analysis, including statics, dynamics, and materials engineeringOriginates structural engineering deliverables, such as steel and concrete calculations, specifications, and material requisitionsPrepares specifications and related documentsPrepares procurement and subcontract requisition documents and performs associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendationsProvides direct support to other engineering disciplines for Structural related mattersReviews structural drawings and design detailsPrepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposalsCoordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplinesAssists in preparation of quantity takeoffs.Assists in constructability reviewsEducation and Experience Requirements:Requires a bachelor's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge and Skills:Registered Engineer in Training (E.I.T. Or equivalent)Experience with Microsoft office programs, and other common computer programsExcellent communication skills (both verbal and written)Working knowledge and application of the AISC Steel Construction Manual, ACI 318, IBC and ASCE 7Broad knowledge of the application of Structural engineering design principles.Previous experience using structural analysis software such as GTSTRUDL or STAAD.ProPreferred Qualifications:Experience executing engineering and design with Tekla softwareDesign experience with Unified Facilities Criteria and the Whole Building Design GuideIntermediate knowledge of developing CSI Masterformat specifications, or SpecsIntactRegistered Professional Engineer in USA (Civil or Structural Engineering)Master’s degree in Structural or related Engineering discipline from an accredited universityPossess active security clearancePrior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense$55-$63+Per Diem
