Client Details
A well-established heavy civil construction contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to join its field operations team.
Description
- Lead and oversee all daily field operations for assigned construction projects.
- Manage field personnel, subcontractors, and equipment resources.
- Coordinate project schedules, sequencing, and site logistics.
- Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget expectations.
- Participate in project meetings and collaborate with project management teams.
- Maintain daily reports, progress tracking, project documentation, and as-built records.
- Coordinate inspections, material deliveries, and field modifications.
- Enforce safety standards and support a strong safety culture across all job sites.
- Communicate effectively with owners, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders
Profile
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or similar field leadership position within heavy civil construction.
- Experience with excavation, earthwork, utilities, dams, water resources, or infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Demonstrated success leading crews, subcontractors, and field operations.
- Strong planning, scheduling, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with construction reporting systems, project documentation, and standard office software.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Northeast region as required.
- Strong commitment to jobsite safety, quality, and operational excellence.
