Civil Superintendent

Job TitleSite ManagerJob DescriptionOversees daily on-site operations for civil construction projects such as roads, bridges, utilities, and earthworks. Ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations. Coordinates and supervises field crews, subcontractors, and equipment usage. Monitors project progress, identifies delays or risks, and implements corrective actions. Enforces safety protocols and conducts regular site inspections to maintain compliance. Communicates with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and clients to report status updates. Reviews drawings, schedules, and work plans to ensure proper execution in the field. Manages materials, resources, and logistics to prevent shortages or downtime. Resolves on-site issues, including technical challenges and workforce conflicts. Maintains accurate site records, reports, and documentation for project tracking and compliance.The Successful ApplicantProven experience managing civil construction projects (roads, utilities, earthworks, or infrastructure) from start to finish. Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate crews, subcontractors, and stakeholders effectively. Deep understanding of construction methods, safety regulations, and quality control standards. Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Excellent problem-solving abilities, especially in fast-paced, on-site environments. Strong communication skills for liaising with engineers, clients, inspectors, and project managers. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical specifications accurately. Proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing solutions before issues escalate. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and enforcing OSHA or relevant safety standards.
