The Civil Trades Facilities Manager works with trades managers who are responsible for managing daily operations and maintenance of university campuses. This role involves developing excellent working relationships with the university community and both internal and external vendors to coordinateservices.
The facilities manager ensures the successful completion of client facility needs, focusing on providing superior customer service and comprehensive facilities management for hundreds of buildings and operations projects.
Required Skills
Facilities-related college degree or 3-5 years of equivalent work experience. Demonstrated experience in facilities and construction. Understanding of building trades and ability to read construction documents. Experience with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and Project required. Familiarity with work order systems and building automation systems. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-up. Ability to manage changing priorities and accomplish multiple detailed tasks to meet deadlines. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Good judgment, ability to prioritize work and meet multiple task deadlines, and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, be proactive, take initiative, and be punctual.
