Description:
The City of Chandler Police Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Civilian Range Instructor. The position requires you provide firearms instruction, safety and related training to police officers and detention officers. Maintains and repairs department weapons, armory and other equipment. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits, with a 4/10 schedule working Monday through Thursday from 0700 - 1700.

Who we are looking for
Our ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone with at least three (3) years' experience providing basic and advanced firearms training in a law enforcement environment within the past five (5) years who possesses an AZPOST Approved Firearms Instructor Certification and AZPOST Approved Rifle Instructor Certification. Previous law enforcement training experience and previous Glock and AR-15 armorer experience is desired.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits, with a 4/10 schedule. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 6 months should another position become available.
The City of Chandler will conduct a pre-employment background check as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results. All applicants hired will be required to be fingerprinted with successful results as a condition of continued employment.
