The City of Greensboro Police Department is seeking a dependable, service-minded professional to join the Greensboro Motorist Assistance Patrol (GMAP) as a Civilian Traffic Investigator. This unique public safety role combines customer service, traffic safety, roadside assistance, and crash investigation to help keep Greensboros motorists safe and our roadways moving. Compensation and Benefits:
Hiring Salary Range: $41,600.00 - $48,425.00 Full Salary Range: $41,600.00 - $71,176.00 Annually

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Subject to occasional activation to assist with special events

About the Role:
As a Civilian Traffic Investigator, you will provide non-emergency services that are essential to motorist safety and effective traffic operations throughout Greensboro. The position combines fieldwork, public interaction, traffic management, and documentation responsibilities.

The selected candidate must complete the North Carolina Justice Academy Civilian Traffic Investigator training and a minimum of 160 hours of field training.
