Assignment Length: 6+ Month Contract (Extension & Conversion Opportunities Available)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manager – Claims Billing to oversee the daily operations of our billing team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving team performance, ensuring billing accuracy, monitoring productivity and quality, and coaching employees to achieve departmental goals. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of the Claims Billing team and ensure departmental KPIs and performance goals are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor employee productivity, quality, and accuracy while providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture aligned with company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate process updates, system enhancements, and procedural changes to team members.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide regular updates on team progress and objectives.
  • Investigate and resolve client payment application issues while identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Analyze operational reports and performance metrics to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Escalate critical issues to leadership and communicate key findings effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain a high standard of customer service.
 
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 5+ years of billing, claims billing, or related experience.
  • Previous experience leading teams, coaching employees, or managing performance.
  • Strong customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Experience tracking KPIs and monitoring quality metrics.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing teams or leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • Knowledge of healthcare products, assignment plans, and billing processes.
