Basic Job Functions:

 

The role of Claims Coordinator is primarily to: 

  • Facilitate the acceptance and processing of customer claims for both quality and account receivable.   
  • Coordinate efforts to resolve claims with customers, production team members, metallurgists, sales and accounts receivable.   
  • Track claims status and communicate with customer on open claims. 
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports, and complete month end closing processes.  
  • Individual will be trained and able to perform all roles within the Credit Department.   
  • Participate in quality audits as needed on behalf of Claims Issue Resolution.  

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in business or related field and/or 
  • 2 years related business experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the manufacturing process, product characteristics and customer base.
