Claims Examiner | Temporary Assignment

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced Claims Examiner to support a well-established healthcare organization in the Sacramento area. This is a great opportunity for someone with medical claims adjudication experience who is detail-oriented, accurate, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.

Position Details:

• Employment Type: Temporary assignment through the end of 2026
• Pay Rate: $20-23/hr DOE
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Industry: Healthcare / Managed Care

What You'll Do

• Review, analyze, and adjudicate medical claims accurately and within required timeframes.
• Determine appropriate payer responsibility based on coding, contracts, service areas, and established guidelines.
• Process claims, payment adjustments, and member reimbursement claims.
• Review claims for financial, payment, and procedural accuracy.
• Work with ICD, CPT, and Revenue Codes to support accurate claims processing.
• Ensure claims are processed in accordance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Maintain established productivity, quality, accuracy, and audit standards.
• Research and resolve claim discrepancies as needed.
• Assist with additional claims-related projects and responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of healthcare claims adjudication experience, preferably within an HMO or managed care environment.
• Knowledge of ICD, CPT, and Revenue Codes.
• Experience with Facets is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage a high volume of claims while meeting deadlines and productivity expectations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
