Insurance Claims Manager VP Vice President AVP Director Property & Casualty Commercial Lines Litigation _ .
 
Direct operations of Claims Team handling investigation, evaluation, and disposition of litigated or high priority claims and suits brought against the company.
 
• Set goals and objectives with direct reports, conduct annual performance reviews, and measure results.
 
• Supervise claim files handled by direct reports, including litigated and high priority files.
 
• Provide guidance and direction regarding coverage, liability analysis, reserves, alternative dispute resolution, and appraisal.
 
• Conduct team meetings, monitor caseloads, extend reserve and settlement authority, and authorize referrals to defense counsel and coverage counsel when needed.
 
• Assist claims team in identifying special investigation fraud indicators and help refer those files accordingly.
 
• Conduct file audits and deliver appropriate feedback to individual direct reports.
 
• Ensure all state regulations and internal guidelines are met.
