Job Description
- Strong knowledge of standard property and casualty insurance statutes, regulations, and practices; casualty/liability claims adjusting, including analyzing and coordinating disposition of claims.
- Good supervisory practices.
- Hiring and training of claims department staff.
- Review problem files, i.e., insured disputing denials.
- Prepare our claim files for annual audits.
- Direct claims staff with coverage issues.
- Report all E&O exposures to the CEO with full details and claim file.
- Recommend and assign attorneys.
- Interview adjusting firms to determine if they are compatible with our needs.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role and must have commercial claims experience.
