Piper Companies is seeking a Claims Operations Associate for a temporary housing organization that assists policyholders displaced by fire, water damage, or other natural events. The Claims Operations Associate role requires strong organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent verbal and written communication. The Claims Operations Associate will sit on site 5 days a week in Greenwich, CT.
Responsibilities for the Claims Operations Associate:
- Track 90/60/30-day lease timelines and additional living expense (ALE) budgets, identifying when extensions are needed
- Communicate with insureds, landlords, and adjusters while negotiating lease and budget extensions with insurance carriers
- Manage furniture rental extensions and coordinate pickups, ensuring vendor timelines are met
- Request and review invoices, communicate updates to all stakeholders, and maintain accurate CRM documentation
Qualifications for the Claims Operations Associate:
- 2-5 years of experience in customer service, property management, insurance support, or temporary housing coordination
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Experience working with insurance carriers, vendors, and policyholders, including budget and timeline oversight
Compensation for the Claims Operations Associate:
- $60,000-$63,000
