Claims Processing Representative

What you'll do…This position will be responsible for handling the day to day functions related to the successful processing of dental insurance claims. This position is responsible for processing payments to accounts according to company policies. The role will complete all phases of Claims Processing training and will be required to meet set deadlines and departmental standards of accuracy.This position is located at our corporate office in Southfield, MI and requires an onsite presence on Mondays with remote days Tuesday-Friday. Additional onsite presence may be required based on business needs.What you'll bring to the team…

Post fundamental payer payments as assignedFollow denial protocols and procedures to correct or adjust claimsCommunicate clearly and concisely via telephone or emailAssist with departmental admin dutiesPost patient payments to accountsOther tasks as requested by direct Manager

What we require you have…

High school diploma or GEDExperience in medical billing systems a plusUnderstanding of Medicare / Medicaid laws, managed care, and commercial health insurance a plusMust possess high degree of professionalism and adaptability10-Key & Alpha Numeric Data Entry with speed and accuracyEffective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills and skill in presenting findings and recommendationsProficient in the use of end-user computer applications regarding productivity (MS Word, Excel, Outlook), Windows file management, database, electronic health/medical records and patient billing and other medical information systemsTeam PlayerHigh level of detail orientation and organizational skillsBasic math and analytical abilitiesAbility to work independently and professionally in a high volume environmentAbility to maintain confidentialityMust have predictable and consistent attendance
