Claims Representative
Location – Madison, CT and Rye Brook, NY
Type – Permanent
Payrate – Starting salary $40,000.00
Schedule – Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Claims Representative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and processing claims efficiently while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This position requires strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of insurance verifications and insurance laws.
Duties
  • Review and process claims for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for claims related insurance programs.
  • Utilize financial software to track claims status and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to claims.
  • Maintain organized files of medical documentation and claim records for easy retrieval and reference.
  • Stay updated on changes with insurance policies and industry regulations.
Requirements
  •  Insurance verification processes.
  • Familiarity with Medicare guidelines and medical documentation practices.
  • Proficient in using financial software for claims processing.
  • Understanding of HCPCS, ICD-9 coding systems, and DRG classifications.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in claims processing.
  • Previous experience in an insurance environment is preferred.
