The Claims Support Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of workers' compensation prescription claims. This position serves as a key liaison between insurance carriers, healthcare providers, legal representatives, patients, and internal teams to investigate claim issues, validate information, resolve discrepancies, and support reimbursement activities. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage complex claim scenarios while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service. 

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in healthcare, insurance, pharmacy operations, claims processing, or revenue cycle management who enjoy solving problems, navigating ambiguity, and improving operational outcomes. 

What You’ll Do 

• Validation of claim data to ensure accuracy on all claims entered into the system prior to invoices
• Ensure accuracy on patient and claim detail in core system prior to invoices being generated 
• Validate and verify patient, prescription, insurance, and claim information to ensure accuracy prior to invoice generation and claim adjudication.  
• Independently investigate complex claims issues, identify discrepancies, and take appropriate action to resolve missing or inaccurate information.  
• Partner with insurance carriers, physician offices, legal representatives, and patients to obtain required documentation and ensure timely claims processing.  
• Manage multiple work queues while consistently meeting quality, productivity, and SLA targets.  
• Analyze claim-related data and documentation to support accurate claim processing and prior authorization activities.  
• Document all communications and actions thoroughly and accurately within company systems.  
• Stay current on workers' compensation regulations, payer requirements, and internal policies and procedures.  
• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, and customer experience.  
• Serve as a subject matter resource within the team and provide guidance to newer team members as appropriate.  
• Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and sound judgment when resolving claims issues and escalating exceptions.  
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   

What You’ll Need to Succeed 

• 3+ years of experience in healthcare, insurance, pharmacy operations, claims processing, prior authorization, benefits verification, medical billing, revenue cycle management, or a similar operational environment.  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues, identify discrepancies, and resolve complex claim-related challenges. 
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet quality, productivity, and service-level expectations in a fast-paced environment. 
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with insurance carriers, healthcare providers, legal representatives, patients, and internal stakeholders. 
• Experience documenting and maintaining accurate records within business systems. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business applications. 
• Ability to learn and apply insurance, claims, and regulatory requirements. 
• Self-motivated, accountable, and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. 
• Experience with workers' compensation, healthcare claims, pharmacy operations, or insurance services is a plus
