Material Handler – Clamp Truck Operator
Pay: $21-22/hour
Schedule: M-F Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6am - 2:00pm
(they may need to come in sometimes at 5am, so they need a vehicle)

Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dependable and experienced Material Handler to join a busy production and warehouse operation. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the goal of transitioning into a permanent position for the right candidate.
The Material Handler will be responsible for receiving and moving paper throughout the facility, ensuring materials are properly staged and available for Press Operators. This position requires previous forklift experience and the ability to safely operate a clamp truck with a 3,000 lb. capacity.
This is a hands-on warehouse position that will also involve general material handling, housekeeping, recycling, and facility support.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a clamp truck with a 3,000 lb. capacity to move materials throughout the facility.
- Receive incoming paper and properly place materials in the warehouse.
- Pull and stage paper for Press Operators based on production needs.
- Ensure production areas have the necessary materials available and ready to run.
- Handle and organize recyclable materials.
- Cut down paper cores for Press Operators.
- Empty and maintain trash cans throughout the facility.
- Assist with inventory operations and material counts.
- Maintain and monitor the paper compactor.
- Perform general cleaning and housekeeping throughout the warehouse.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
- Assist with additional warehouse and production support duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience required.
- Experience operating a clamp truck is strongly preferred, but candidates with solid forklift experience may be considered.
- Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify and move materials.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently while also supporting the production team.
- Ability to perform physical warehouse duties throughout the workday.
- Previous experience in a paper, printing, manufacturing, or production environment is a plus.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal A MUST
- Need to be good with basic math, numbers
Preferred Experience
Familiarity with different grades and types of paper used in a printing/press environment would be a major plus, although it is not required. Candidates with strong forklift/material-handling experience who are willing to learn the paper products are encouraged to apply.
