Class 8 Truck Service Technician

• Are you confident diagnosing diesel powertrains, electrical faults, air brakes, and hydraulic systems with schematics and test equipment?
• Can you switch from preventive maintenance to complex fabrication and welding without missing a beat?

What will you work on?

• Full-spectrum inspections and repairs on semi trucks: engines, transmissions, brakes (including air systems), suspensions, hydraulics, electrical, and HVAC.
• Routine services—oil changes, tire mounting/rotation, alignments, and fluid replacement—to extend fleet longevity.
• Troubleshooting with wiring diagrams, technical manuals, laptops, and meters to resolve tricky mechanical and electrical issues.
• Component repair and fabrication using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering, and precise assembly techniques.
• Strict adherence to shop safety protocols and applicable maintenance regulations for heavy equipment.

What do you need to succeed?

• Proven experience on semi trucks or heavy-duty equipment in a dealership or industrial setting.
• Solid command of diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, HVAC systems, and shocks & struts.
• Diagnostic proficiency with schematics and electronic testing tools.
• Comfortable with welding/fabrication, hand and power tools, soldering, and assembly processes.
• Background in tire service, wheel alignment procedures, brake repair, and routine maintenance.

Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
