Class A Buildings Maintenance - 1st Shift

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

Maintains the buildings, equipment, and related systems needed to support job responsibilities. Collaborate with other maintenance team members to complete work efficiently and achieve departmental goals.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, fabricate, and create material lists for projects with minimal instruction
• Assist with construction projects using basic plumbing, electrical, masonry, and carpentry skills. Inspects and maintains fire extinguishers
• Maintain and Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems as needed
• May occasionally perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair on various equipment types, including electrical, gas-powered, hydraulic, pneumatic, and forklift machinery
• Maintain assigned equipment and tools
• Notify the supervisor of any additional tools or equipment that would add to the efficiency and safety of the operation
• Comply with the maintenance schedules on all equipment
• Certified to operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts.
• Assists with training team members as needed
• Communicates well with other team members
• Wears appropriate PPE for the task and the area.
• Adapts to Continuous Improvement and follows new procedures and innovations, which would add to the efficiency and safety of the operation
• Performs work in a manner that keeps down time to a minimum
• Maintains a clean work environment in accordance with Food Safety and 5S systems
• Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines. Use situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions
• May be required to assist in other areas or departments and perform additional duties as assigned

AUTHORITY: Must have the ability to lead a crew that has been placed with them to execute the demands of the maintenance operation efficiently and to respond to oral instructions from the supervisor and written instructions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Three to Five years' building/facilities maintenance experience. Basic electrical experience preferred. HVAC license required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have basic computer skills and possess ability to utilize software.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have the ability to read and understand documents, letters, etc. and write legibly in English. Must be able to understand and speak clearly, communicate, and understand directions in English as needed. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
