We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver with experience in heavy highway construction to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting heavy equipment materials and supplies to and from construction job sites across the region. A thorough understanding of DOT regulations, load securement, and safe equipment handling is essential.
----- Key Responsibilities
• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including lowboys, flatbeds, and other specialized trailers for hauling heavy construction equipment. • Load secure, transport, and unload equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, graders, rollers, and other heavy machinery. • Coordinate with site supervisors and equipment managers for timely and accurate delivery and pickup of equipment. • Perform daily vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure DOT compliance and vehicle safety. • Maintain accurate records of hours of service, HOS, vehicle inspections, mileage, and delivery documentation. • Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations. • Assist with minor equipment operation when necessary to support jobsite needs. • Communicate effectively with dispatch, project managers, and other field personnel.
Qualifications
Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience hauling heavy construction equipment. Knowledge of heavy highway construction operations and typical jobsite protocols. Familiarity with load securement tie-down procedures and weight distribution for oversized loads. Experience with lowboy trailers, detachable goosenecks, RGNs, and other specialized transport equipment. Ability to read and interpret maps, delivery instructions, and construction plans. Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. TWIC card if applicable. Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment troubleshooting. Familiarity with GPS fleet tracking systems.
Working Conditions

Physical Requirements
