This position supports a local logistics company in Canton, focusing on making safe and timely deliveries using a tractor-trailer. The driver will receive training and be responsible for loading and unloading trucks with forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Hours:
Start at 4:15 am until local deliveries are completed (approximately an 8-hour shift), Monday through Friday.
Pay:
$24.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:- Follow best practices for safety on the road and during loading/unloading
- Make deliveries to and from various destinations on schedule
- Stage products according to customer requests
- Interact professionally with customers
- Comply with OSHA and safety regulations
- Assist with loading and unloading in the warehouse
Minimum Requirements:- Valid CDL (Class A) license
- Presentable appearance for customer interactions
- Reliable and punctual
- Good time management skills
- Warehouse experience is a plus
Nice to Have Skills:- Experience operating forklifts or electric pallet jacks
Preferred Education and Experience:- High school diploma or equivalent (not required but advantageous)
- Prior delivery or warehouse experience
Other Requirements:- Must be physically able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
