Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport goods to various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery records.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation and safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries.
- Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and interactions with clients.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving a Class A vehicle preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks as required.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
