Class A CDL Driver

Kahut Waste Services , a Waste Connections company, seeks a safety-conscious and reliable Class A CDL Driver to join our team.


Schedule is Monday - Friday


Start time is 5:30 AM and goes until the route is completed.


Starting wage is $36.00/HR


Safety Sensitive: YES


Key Responsibilities :


+ Operate a tractor-trailer on a dedicated local route using manual transmission equipment to haul waste to Wasco Landfill

+ Opportunity to receive training on Roll-Off manual transmission trucks

+ Perform routine vehicle inspections, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires

+ Physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly

+ Maintain courteous and professional interactions with customers

+ Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned


Working Conditions :


+ Climb in and out of the truck cab up to 40+ times per day

+ Work in all outdoor weather conditions, including wet and humid environments, with exposure to fumes and vibrations

+ Moderate noise level

+ Adhere to all safety protocols to mitigate physical risks, such as moving mechanical parts


Minimum Requirements :


+ A minimum of 2 years of Class A driving experience is required, including mandatory experience with manual transmissions and 53' trailers.

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Stable work history (at least 2 years in most recent position)

+ Excellent customer service and communication skills

+ Clean driving record and compliance with DOT regulations (49 CFR 383.51)

+ Ability to handle the physical demands of the job

+ Basic knowledge of truck components for pre- and post-trip inspections
