Class A CDL Driver - Local

A well-established steel company is looking to hire Class A CDL Driver's in the Lakeland, FL area. The driver will be responsible for transporting structural steel to sites locally. This is a great opportunity to be home every night!

What You’ll Be Doing

• Safely operate a manual transmission flatbed truck to transport construction materials to and from job sites, yards, and vendor locations
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
• Secure loads using proper tie-downs, chains, and tarps to prevent shifting or damage during transport
• Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts as required
• Assist in the construction yard when not driving, including staging materials, inventory management, and general upkeep
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, timesheets, and material documentation
• Follow all company safety protocols and participate in regular safety training sessions

Who We’re Looking For

• Valid class A CDL required
• Experience in operating a manual/automatic transmission flatbed freight 
• Forklift experience preffered 
• Capacity to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to Multitask; Well organized
• Positive attitude and energetic
• Self-starter and motivated to learn and grow
• Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment
• Willingness to work in environments with high temperatures as required
• Ability to stand/sit or long periods of time and lift heavy construction materials

What You Can Expect

• $24.00 - $25.00/hr DOE
• Regular schedule of Monday – Friday, 6:55am – Finish
• Occasional Saturdays
