Base pay rate is 28.00 per hour Shift Full-Time Day Shift
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our customers distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. The Ideal candidate will provide customer responsiveness and efficient material handling and delivery activities.
• Safely assist in the unloading of the product using a Moffett to customers location and/or return products • Deliver material in route truck, multi-drop" fashion to destinations in accordance with Federal regulations • Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, or in tight loading dock areas
MAINTENANCE AND COMPLIANCE
Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations, including: • Driver logs • Fuel purchases • Mileage records • Other records required by law
Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SUPPORT
Able to answer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging, and material content. If unable to answer specific questions, direct customer to appropriate contact.
VEHICLE MAINTENANCE
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections thoroughly. Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment. Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed.
COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS
Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines.
SCHEDULE AND OTHER DUTIES
2-3 overnight runs per week. May perform other duties as assigned.
