Job Description

CDL A Truck Driver

Hiring Area: Cleveland, OH 44101
Weekly Pay: $1,300 to $1,500
Home Time: Most Weekends
Regional Dry Van Freight
Experience Required: 6 Months

Consistent Regional Routes and Reliable Miles

LEM Trucking is adding CDL A truck drivers in the Cleveland, Ohio area to a regional dry van fleet. This position offers established freight lanes, regular weekend home time, and assigned equipment for drivers who want consistency without spending several weeks away from home.

Drivers operate throughout portions of the Midwest and Southeast, providing a variety of regional runs while remaining within a defined freight network. Routes are structured to stay out of New York City and other high congestion markets whenever possible. The focus is on productive miles and efficient load planning throughout the workweek.

Dry Van Freight With Less Dock Time

All freight is no touch, meaning drivers are not required to physically handle cargo during pickups or deliveries. A large portion of the freight is drop and hook, helping reduce time spent waiting at customer facilities. Scheduled live loads may also be part of the weekly freight mix.

Drivers can expect established customer freight and dispatch support designed to keep equipment moving between assignments.

Earnings and Weekend Schedule

Average weekly pay ranges from $1,300 to $1,500 depending on mileage and verified driving experience. Additional compensation may be earned for qualifying detention, layovers, breakdowns, and safe driving performance.

Most weeks are structured around returning home for a full 48 hour reset, giving drivers a regular schedule while maintaining the miles needed for competitive weekly earnings.

Position details include:

  • $1,300 to $1,500 average weekly earnings

  • Full 48 hour home reset most weekends

  • No touch dry van freight with a high percentage of drop and hook

  • Midwest and Southeast regional operating lanes with no New York City deliveries

  • Additional qualifying detention, layover, breakdown, and safety pay

Assigned Freightliner Cascadias

Drivers operate assigned 2019 through 2023 Freightliner Cascadia tractors with automatic transmissions. Equipment includes refrigerators, power inverters, sleeper accommodations, and additional features intended to provide a comfortable setup while traveling throughout the region.

Benefits Available

Eligible drivers have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance along with paid holidays and vacation time. Retirement savings options are also available.

Rider program eligibility and a pet policy are offered for approved drivers, allowing qualified drivers additional flexibility while on the road.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must hold a valid Class A CDL and have at least six months of verifiable tractor trailer driving experience within the previous three years. Candidates must meet DOT qualification standards and company requirements for an acceptable driving history.

LEM Trucking is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
