American Driver is hiring CDL A drivers in Wilmington, NC. Wilmington sits at the southern end of I-40 on the Carolina coast — a strong starting point for drivers running Eastern OTR lanes with freight moving up and down I-95 and the Atlantic corridor.
New drivers are welcome. If you have your Class A CDL and have completed your school hours, a fully paid training program is ready for you.
Training:
- 4–6 weeks fully paid with a dedicated mentor
- Live freight from day one — real loads, real routes
- ELD, HOS, inspections, and daily operations all covered
- Weekly pay throughout training
- Solo at $0.56 CPM after completion
What the Job Looks Like:
- No-touch dry van freight
- About 60% drop and hook
- 2,200–2,500 miles per week
- Eastern routes with consistent year-round freight
- Day and night dispatch
Pay:
- $0.56–$0.65 CPM based on experience
- Most drivers earn $1,200–$1,500 weekly
- Stop, layover, and breakdown pay included
- Six-month pay increase
- $300 orientation pay
- Weekly direct deposit
Home Time:
- Every two weeks on a planned, consistent schedule
Equipment:
- Assigned Freightliner or Kenworth (2022–2025)
- APUs on all units

Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL, age 21+
